A poster which combines typography with embroidery, using embroidery to rethink how we see CMYK printing and on-screen images on paper. It aims to challenge the traditional language system by asking if a single symbol can represent more than one character and by blending design with craft.
The final result is a poster that says “single glyph multiple characters, single character multiple glyphs,” embroidered with CMYK colored thread. Each symbol is made up of two characters arranged differently. Each character is made of small crosses, showing how typography and embroidery can come together.
